Expert Paint Correction & Polishing
Fast, reliable, and professional services tailored for your needs, wherever you are.
Over time, your vehicle's paintwork takes a beating. Improper washing techniques, automatic car washes, environmental fallout, and the harsh Australian sun all contribute to a dull, faded finish. When you look at your car in direct sunlight and see a web of swirl marks, light scratches, and holograms, you're seeing clear coat damage.
Paint correction is the art of safely removing these defects to restore a flawless, mirror-like finish. At Street2Show Detailing, we don't use cheap glazes or 'fillers' that simply hide the scratches for a few weeks. We use advanced machine polishing techniques to permanently level the clear coat, removing the damage and revealing incredible depth and gloss.
Whether you're preparing your car for sale, wanting to restore its showroom shine, or prepping the surface for a ceramic coating, our paint correction services deliver unmatched results. With over 10 years of experience, Benn treats every vehicle with the absolute highest level of care and precision.

Who we work with
Whether you are a residential client, a commercial business, or anything in between, our team has the expertise to perform Paint Correction seamlessly for your specific needs.
Understanding the Paint Correction Process
Many people confuse 'polishing' with 'waxing'. Waxing simply adds a temporary layer of protection over the top of the paint. It does nothing to fix the scratches underneath. Paint correction, on the other hand, is a mechanical process.
Your vehicle's paint consists of a base color coat topped with a clear coat. The swirl marks and scratches you see are actually microscopic valleys etched into this clear coat. During a paint correction, we use specialized machine polishers, abrasive compounds, and polishing pads to safely and microscopically shave down the clear coat until it is perfectly level with the bottom of the scratches.
By leveling the surface, light can reflect perfectly off the paint, creating that deep, wet, glossy look that makes a car truly stand out. It requires immense skill, patience, and an understanding of different paint types to achieve a perfect result without removing too much clear coat.
Single-Stage vs. Multi-Stage Correction
Every car is different, which is why we offer tailored correction packages. A Single-Stage Correction involves one step of machine polishing. This is perfect for newer vehicles or cars with light swirl marks. It will typically remove 60-70% of defects and drastically improve gloss and clarity.
For vehicles with heavier damage, deep scratches, or severe oxidation, a Multi-Stage Correction is required. This involves a heavy compounding stage to cut out the deep defects, followed by a finer polishing stage to refine the finish and maximize gloss. This intensive process can achieve 85-95% defect removal, transforming even the most neglected paintwork into a show-quality finish.
Before we begin any correction, we thoroughly decontaminate the paint using chemical iron removers and a clay bar to ensure the surface is perfectly smooth and free of bonded contaminants.
The Crucial Step Before Ceramic Coating
If you are considering a ceramic coating, paint correction is an absolutely essential prerequisite. A ceramic coating is a semi-permanent layer of protection that bonds to your clear coat. If you apply a coating over swirl marks and scratches, those defects will be permanently 'locked in' under the coating.
By performing a thorough paint correction first, we ensure the surface is flawless. The ceramic coating then seals in that perfection, providing years of incredible gloss and protection. It's the ultimate combination for any vehicle owner who demands the best.
